A great potential
When Rikke Dishington was hired for a part-time project in the Service Management department at the end of 2018, the assignment was only meant to last a few months. However, Green Mountain soon realized that this young woman had a great potential that we could not afford to miss. She was offered the position as Service Management Trainee and was immediately assigned responsibility for 30% of our clients and appointed system administrator for our Service Management System, Service Now.
Being responsible for clients involves ensuring delivery according to SLA, regular reporting and customer project support. Despite her young age and limited experience in the industry, Rikke soon developed trusting relationships with her clients.

Taking our Service Management Tool to the next level
Service Now is our critical tool to obtain first-class customer service and quality management, but constantly needs development and customization to meet our clients’ changing requirements. Rikke accepted the challenge head-on, became and expert user in no-time and now manages the system development projects. She works with both incremental developments as well as larger projects such as the newly released maintenance calendar functionality. This feature gives each client insight into what planned, ongoing and executed maintenance work is affecting their specific installation in the data centre.
“We work by the ITIL* framework to assure the quality of our deliveries. With Rikke on our team we know that she will not only maintain the high standards but bring us to the next level. I am impressed with her ability to put the customer in focus, her deep understanding of systems and her innovative suggestions for improvements.”, says Service Delivery Manager, Runar Espeland.
Right now Rikke is very enthusiastic about her ongoing projects. “I am working on everything from automating internal procedures, integration with other business systems, optimizing the user-interface of our customer portal to implementing new mobile apps for both clients and employees.  I feel very fortunate to work together with suppliers, employees and clients to develop the best data center service management system possible.” says Rikke. “My goal is to deliver our customers a one-stop portal covering all their needs for customer service, reporting and alerts. We are now only a few steps away from giving them this fully integrated experience. We have always received top rankings on service management from our customers, so they have high expectations which I am determined to exceed.”
Bonus – Improving search ranking and web traffic
Rikke is a self-taught web specialist, something which came in handy when the marketing department initiated a SEO project for the web site. “Gaining visibility in search engines is a combination of content and technical factors. Rikke helped us on the technical side, both diagnosing and correcting errors that affected our SEO score. Her work contributed significantly to our boost in search rankings and increased web traffic.” says Marketing Manager, Mette Gulbrandsen.
Rikke is a star example of the bright new generation running the data centres of tomorrow. Being on the “30 under 30” list was well deserved!
