Latency to The City
With power constraints, rising demand, and expanding connectivity, East London is emerging as the next major data centre hub—offering the space, infrastructure, and scalability that West London can no longer support. Green Mountain's LON-East in Romford represents an exceptional opportunity for future growth in East London, reinforcing the region’s emergence as a critical hub for the data center industry. Strategically located, the site offers direct connections to the City, Heathrow, and Slough, and is easily accessible from London’s major transport hubs
LON-East offers a combination of capacity, connectivity, and flexibility, making it an ideal location for Cloud, AI, and HPC workloads. With 30 MW of new capacity secured and construction of the first phase already underway, the site is positioned to meet the growing demands of hyperscalers and enterprises. The facility offers advanced air and liquid cooling, with racks supporting 100kW+ densities for HPC and AI. Flexible solutions, including Build-to-Suit opportunities, are available on-campus, ensuring tailored infrastructure for unique client needs.

East is the new West
London remains a critical data centre hub, but space and power constraints in traditional locations are driving expansion eastward. LON-East is at the heart of this shift, offering a rare opportunity to secure scalable, high-performance infrastructure in a prime location. East is the new West.
Strategically positioned, LON-East is equidistant between the LSE data centre in Docklands and the NYSE data centre in Basildon, making it an ideal choice for AI and HPC. The facility sits on major fibre routes, with 10+ independent fibre providers, ensuring low-latency, high-speed global connectivity:
Romford to Slough: 0.95 ms
Romford to The City: 1 ms
Romford to Docklands: 0,36 ms
If you don’t need all of your workload located in London, Green Mountain can offer balanced delivery models where you keep what you need close and the rest in a more cost-efficient and sustainable location. With our portfolio of data centers in Norway, we can offer clients the best of two worlds.
Future plans
At Green Mountain, our vision is “Setting the Green Standard” in the data center industry, and LON-East is no exception. The plan is to upgrade and modernize the current data center to meet Green Mountain’s strict sustainability standards, while expanding to meet the growing demand for AI, HPC, and high-density workloads.
