Green Mountain has appointed Kjetil Flesjå (56) as the new Chief Financial Officer in Green Mountain. He comes from the position of CFO in battery company Beyonder and started the position on October 1st.
Kjetil Flesjå has over 12 years’ experience in CFO positions in various Norwegian and international companies, including Scana and Beyonder. In addition, he also has extensive experience from international banking. He holds an M.Sc. in finance from Aalborg University in Denmark and further specialization in finance from the Norwegian School of Economics.
Strong long-term vision
– Green Mountain triggered my interest for several reasons. Firstly, data centers are the foundation of our modern digital society and Green Mountain is well-positioned to succeed in the European market with its sustainable vision. Moreover, the owners have both a long-term horizon and the financial strength to support the company’s growth ambitions. I am therefore excited to join the company and help Green Mountain achieve its long-term objectives, says Flesjå.
Key role in the growth phase
CEO of Green Mountain, Svein Atle Hagaseth, is very satisfied with the appointment and believes Kjetil Flesjå will have a lot to contribute.
– We welcome him to the management team, especially now in the middle of an exciting growth phase. He has solid international experience from several industries and will have a key role in the development of the company going forward. His leadership skills and personal qualities are a perfect match with our corporate culture and vision.
Flesjå succeeds Morten Nærland, who has held the position since 2020. During Nærland’s time as CFO, the finance department has been significantly strengthened in line with increased growth and international expansion. Nærland states:
– I leave the work in safe hands with Kjetil Flesjå and wish him and Green Mountain the best of luck on their journey ahead.
