We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 edition of the Green Mountain Community Support Fund. This initiative underscores Green Mountain’s dedication to giving back to the local communities that host our data centers. This year, the fund has doubled to 1,000,000 NOK, which will support local sports and cultural activities for children and youth.
In Norway, Green Mountain operates data centers in Rennesøy, Rjukan, Enebakk, and Hamar, and the Community Fund is dedicated to sponsoring teams, clubs, and associations located in these areas.
Green Mountain is committed to being a key contributor to the local community. Over the years, we have received numerous inquiries about sponsorship opportunities from sports clubs and associations. We have already established strong partnerships with teams such as Driv IL in Enebakk, Mastra IL in the Stavanger area, Rjukan IL and Tinn IL in the Rjukan area, and Storhamar IL Ice Hockey in Innlandet. With this fund, we aim to expand our support and include even more aspects of community life.
Last year we supported 24 different clubs. Many of them got to upgrade important equipment, buy new uniforms and organize trips together. The Lego Club in Randaberg was close to shutting down, so the support from Green Mountain was a game changer for them! You can read about them in this article in Norwegian.
We now invite local teams, clubs, and associations to apply for funding from the Green Mountain Community Support Fund. The application deadline is 28th of February 2025. An internal committee will review the applications in March, and all applicants will receive feedback by 21st of March.
