Community Support

Sponsorships

Being a good neighbor and contributing to the local community is important to Green Mountain. We want our presence to create value beyond our facilities by supporting the people, organizations, and communities around us.

We are proud supporters of local sports clubs, cultural initiatives, and community activities that give children and young people opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.

Across our locations, we support organizations including Mastra IL in Rennesøy, Tinn IL and Rjukan IL in Rjukan, Driv IL in Enebakk, Storhamar Ishockey Yngres in Hamar, and Undheim IL in Undheim. Through these partnerships, we contribute to activities that bring people together, promote inclusion, and create positive experiences for the next generation.

Green Mountain Community Support Fund

In 2024, we expanded our community engagement efforts by launching the Green Mountain Community Support Fund. The fund was established to support a broader range of local sports and cultural initiatives for children and young people in the regions where we operate.

The response from local clubs and organizations has been incredibly encouraging. In its first year, the fund supported 24 local clubs and associations. Due to strong interest and impact, we doubled the fund’s size in 2025, enabling us to support even more initiatives in our communities.

You can read more about the fund and how to apply here. Please note that the application form is only available in Norwegian, as all Green Mountain locations covered by the Community Support Fund are in Norway.

Creating opportunities through knowledge

We also believe that building stronger communities means sharing knowledge and creating awareness about an industry that is becoming increasingly important to society.

Throughout the year, we welcome visitors to our sites, including students, politicians, businesses, media representatives, and local organizations. We regularly participate in school visits, conferences, and community events to explain how data centers work and the role they play in our digital lives.

To make information more accessible, we launched info.greenmountain.no, a dedicated resource hub with articles, videos, and answers to frequently asked questions about data centers and digital infrastructure.

Investing in local communities

As Green Mountain continues to grow, so does our commitment to the communities where we operate. Whether through sponsorships, educational initiatives, local partnerships, or our Community Support Fund, our goal is simple:

To create long-term value for the people and communities that are part of the Green Mountain story.
