Upholding standards, ensuring excellence
Being compliant with international standards is crucial to running a high-quality data center. A strong focus on governance secures our ability to live up to society’s and customers’ high sustainability standards and supports the quality of our processes and procedures.

Governance refers to the set of policies, procedures, and practices that ensure the efficient and secure operation of our data centers. Green Mountain’s governance framework is built on a strong foundation of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) principles.
- Being compliant with local legislation and international standards is crucial to running a high-quality data center.

Good governance practices promote transparency in the company’s operations, making information readily available to stakeholders. This helps build trust and ensures that decisions are made based on accurate and timely information.
The Norwegian Transparency Act
At Green Mountain, we take pride in our unwavering commitment to transparency, integrity, and ethical business practices. As a company operating under Norwegian jurisdiction, we fully adhere to the Norwegian Transparency Act (Åpenhetsloven). This act, designed to promote openness and transparency in business operations, aligns seamlessly with our core values and principles. The Norwegian Transparency Act mandates that companies operating in Norway provide clear, accurate, and timely information about their ownership structure, financial performance, and corporate governance practices. It ensures that stakeholders, including customers and the public, have access to reliable information about the company’s activities.
Our Commitment to Transparency
At Green Mountain, we comply with the Norwegian Transparency Act and go above and beyond its requirements. We believe transparency is a legal obligation and fundamental to building trust with our stakeholders. Here’s how we uphold our commitment to transparency:

2. Timely Disclosure
We adhere to strict timelines for disclosing information, ensuring our stakeholders receive timely updates about key developments, financial results, and other information pertinent to their interests.
3. Open Communication
We foster open communication channels with our stakeholders, encouraging them to reach out with any questions or concerns. Our commitment to open dialogue promotes trust and understanding between the company and its stakeholders.
4. Ethical Business Practices
We conduct our business with the highest ethical standards, ensuring that our operations align with legal requirements and industry best practices. Upholding ethical conduct is at the core of our corporate culture.
5. Continuous Improvement
We continuously evaluate and enhance our transparency practices, staying abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends. This proactive approach ensures we are always at the forefront of transparency and corporate governance.

Social Responsibility at Green Mountain
At Green Mountain, we are committed to integrating social responsibility into all aspects of our business. We focus on four key areas: working conditions, diversity and inclusion, education and competence development, and community support. Our goal is to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment while positively impacting the communities where we operate.
Working Conditions
We prioritize the well-being of our employees by ensuring safe working conditions and financial security and nurturing workplace culture. We believe that satisfied employees lead to satisfied clients, as demonstrated by our client partnership engagement score of 5.73/6 over the past five years.
Diversity and Inclusion
The digital infrastructure industry has traditionally been male-dominated, but Green Mountain has more female employees than the industry average. We are committed to increasing the number, particularly in technical and leadership roles. Our recruitment processes are designed to ensure equal opportunities and non-discrimination, and we actively seek to broaden our talent search to attract more female candidates. While we have made progress, we remain committed to expanding diversity in all areas.
Education and Competence Development
We believe in continuous learning and development. Under our Green Academy initiative, we offer:
- Apprenticeships and internships
- Support for further education
- Sustainability training on waste management, energy efficiency, and environmental protection
By equipping our employees with the right skills and knowledge, we empower them to make sustainable decisions in their daily work.

Community Support
Green Mountain is committed to making a positive impact in the communities that host our data centers. To strengthen this commitment, we have established the Green Mountain Community Support Fund, an initiative dedicated to supporting local sports and cultural activities for children and youth.
In 2024, we doubled the fund to 1,000,000 NOK, allowing us to expand our contributions and create even greater value in the communities where we operate.
Over the years, we have also built strong partnerships with local sports teams, such as:
- Driv IL (Enebakk)
- Mastra IL (Stavanger region)
- Rjukan IL & Tinn IL (Rjukan region)
- Storhamar IL Ice Hockey (Innlandet)
With this fund, we aim to expand our support and include even more aspects of community life, ensuring that we remain a key contributor to the well-being and development of our local communities.
