Today, we released a new economic impact report by Menon Economics. It highlights the positive ripple effects of establishing our first data center, SVG-Rennesøy, in Norway. Construction began in 2011, and the center has been operational since 2013.
The analysis is based on actual procurement and accounting data from both construction and operation. Findings show that the Rennesøy data center, now with a capacity of about 16.5 MW, has supported 1,600 FTEs and generated NOK 2.3 billion in value creation.
Menon Economics also assessed broader societal impacts. These include consumption effects, tax revenue, and other community benefits.
The full report is currently only in Norwegian, and can be downloaded here.
