Helse Vest ICT sign with Green Mountain

Green Mountain, Norway’s market leading data centre provider, has signed a comprehensive agreement with Helse Vest ICT regarding data centre services. The data center located deep inside the mountain in a former NATO ammunition store at Rennesøy will ensure reliable IT services to Helse Vest. The services will be operational in Q1 2016.

– Helse Vest ICT are placing 2 of our existing 4 data halls in Western Norway at Green Mountain at Rennesøy. This provides us with high security and top quality solutions, which is essential to secure stable operation of the ICT-systems for the health operations in Helse Vest. Helse Vest has the overall responsibility for the specialist health services in the counties Rogaland, Hordaland and Sogn & Fjordane. The Health Company’s ICT services will be operated from Green Mountains data centre DC1-Stavanger. The data centre is cooled by cold water from the adjacent fjord without use of energy. Green Mountain offers the highest level of security for storage of sensitive data and information in Scandinavia. Furthermore, Green Mountain`s data centres operates solely on renewable energy which support`s Helse Vest`s ambitions of an environmentally friendly and sustainable operation.
